Murders of David and Carol Keeffe: Preliminary Investigation
Unanswered Questions
On May 24, 2007, Carol's father, Michael J. DeSisti, 91, passed away. The following month, Carol's mother, Ann Caroline Tomasso DeSisti, 86, also died. Unfortunately, both her parents went to the grave without knowing who killed their daughter and son-in-law.
Today, the murders of David and Carol Keeffe remain unsolved. Is the lack of progress due to inept investigators, who cannot connect the dots in a double homicide that reeks of an inside job, or was the killer so sly that he had the forethought to cover up all of his tracks? Whatever the reason, police remain tight-lipped about the status of the investigation.
The law firm of DeSisti and Keeffe is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murders of the Keeffes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Athens Township Police Department at (570) 888-2200, the Pennsylvania State Police at (570) 265-2186, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 4PA-TIPS.
