During a recent interview with Suntimes.com, Lisa's cousin and family spokeswoman, Melanie Greenberg, said that the family is beginning to come to terms with the reality that Lisa is probably dead.
"Even though it's hard, I think she is gone," Greenberg said. "And I think most of the family have come to feel that. It's very difficult, knowing that she's out there somewhere but that we cannot put her to rest as we need to do."

Greenberg would not offer a comment on whether Stebic was involved in Lisa's disappearance; however, she did say that the family believes that Lisa was a victim of foul play.
"We know she didn't just walk off and leave her kids," Greenberg told Suntimes.com. "So something happened to her...I think that she was the victim of foul play and that she is gone."
Since Lisa's disappearance, police have searched both land and air in hopes of finding a clue to her whereabouts. Lisa's family has also been involved, holding prayer vigils and fundraisers and creating the website www.findlisastebic.com to help spread the word. Even the community has aided in the search, with businesses donating billboard space to host Lisa's missing persons flyer.
