Over one hundred mourners gathered at St. Boniface Catholic Church for a special Sunday service to remember the Bentler family. Rev. Bob Gruss stood before the congregation and asked them not to blame God.
"You have a right to be angry. But when people say they're angry with God for doing this, God didn't do it," he told his parishioners. "A human being did it and used his own free will. God could have stopped it, yes. He could have but he didn't because through death we reach him. What happened yesterday was for no reason at all, but the experience in our hearts is the same as what Mary experienced when she watched her son die on the cross," he said.
