Her clothing was clean as was the bottom of her shoes, in sharp contrast to the dirt-covered area where she had been found.
Emmery was discovered wearing a white knit camisole over a black bra, a white hooded pullover sweatshirt, bikini underwear, jeans, white socks and white tennis shoes. The sweatshirt, which had "Tinkerbell" written across the front, had a drawstring.
"The dimensions of the marks could, or might, indicate that the marks were created by the sweatshirt's hem or draw cord," a criminalist wrote in a memo that is part of the coroner's report. "Though the garment and its cord did not appear deformed as if by tension, one should not rule out forceful use of the cord or other implement by another person in creating the marks."

No ligature mark was on the back of the neck, but there were two abrasions near her larynx, right above the ligature mark.
Emmery had other injuries as well: an abrasion on her forehead between her eyebrows and blunt force trauma to her right chest, according to the autopsy report.
