The purported discovery of Kelly's body has reminded Angela Drake's family of their own tragedy. According to WISC-TV, her parents recently visited the Holy Mother of Consolation Church, where they prayed for Kelly's safe return.
In December 2005, Angela was reported missing after leaving a Madison bar with a man from Fitchburg. Her body was later discovered in a culvert in Oregon. According to the medical examiner, she died of hypothermia. Michael DeSalvo was arrested in connection with her death. According to prosecutors, he left Angela to die in a ditch. In 2006, DeSalvo pled no contest to reckless homicide. In May 2007, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. His sentencing provided little solace for the Drake family.
