Unresolved, misplaced anger appears to be at the root of his recent actions against Destiny Norton.
Some people just cannot digest frustration; as a result, they let it build up to the point where it may fuel aggression against others. We can't necessarily foresee the type of violence that will occur with a person like Craig Roger Gregerson, accused child killer, but we can predict with some accuracy that it will grow worse.

On July 17, the body of five-year-old Destiny Norton was discovered concealed in the small cellar of Gregerson's home in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had lived close by, and allegedly he had lured her to his yard and then smothered her.

The salient factors in a profile of this alleged child killer, twenty years old, are that he grew up ostracized and tended to be aloof. He was raised with his seven siblings in the strict Mormon faith — which, his wife says, he eventually rejected. Gregerson got into trouble in high school and quickly married Catherine Elin Gregerson, a woman he had met online. During the first year, she financially supported him, and throughout their two-year marriage he displayed behavior, according to reports, that indicated he felt entitled to a certain type of respect: any challenge to his authority was met with rash and impulsive anger, including battering the people who criticized or defied him. He also lied, undermined others, blamed others, and took out his fear and frustration in quick reactive strikes.
Unresolved, misplaced anger appears to be at the root of his recent actions against Destiny Norton. While it hardly seems likely that Gregerson's job as a shipping clerk at a Radio Shack Service Center carries a lot of stress, in fact he appears to be the type of person who cannot absorb stress and move on. Rather, he probably lets it simmer and collect in some dark part of his psyche until he had the chance to express it. Neighbors report that he fought constantly with his young wife, and he once choked and punched his mother-in-law when she asked him to leave her home. It seemed only a matter of time before the cumulative anger would boil over into more extreme harm, and finally it apparently has. Whereas Gregerson once punched his wife sufficiently to cause a miscarriage, it looks likely that he has now graduated to murder.
