Two months after Bobby Bridewell's death, police found the doctor's wife dead in her car. She had been shot in the head with a .22 caliber pistol that the police later determined had been stolen.
According to published reports, Sandra was the last person to see the doctor's wife alive.
Her death was ruled a suicide.
Two years later, Sandra married Alan Rehrig, an Oklahoma City banking and real estate executive who was 11 years younger than his blushing bride.

People who knew the couple say Sandra claimed she was pregnant, but after the wedding she called her new husband from a payphone to tell him she'd had a miscarriage. A close friend of Sandra's later said Sandra couldn't have been pregnant because she'd had a hysterectomy shortly after the death of her first husband.
The marriage didn't last long and neither did Alan Rehrig.
Shortly after the couple split up in 1985, police found Rehrig shot to death in his car. This time, there was no way anyone could call it a suicide. Rehrig had one bullet in his head and one in his chest.

Sandra collected more than $100,000 from her husband's life insurance policy.
Detectives in Oklahoma City say she is their only suspect in the still-unsolved murder case.
