Washington, D.C. (CRIME LIBRARY) — Richmond police announced this afternoon that they have discovered the remains of a body in Mathews County, an area of interest to police in the Taylor Behl disappearance. The surrounding area is rural and the body was found on private property in an isolated area.

The body has been positively identified as Taylor Behl. Chief Rodney Monroe provided very little additional information. This area was one of several properties that police had investigated.

Erin Crabill, a former colleague of amateur photographer Ben W. Fawley, 38, is from Diggs, VA in Mathews County. Crabill and Fawley allegedly made several trips to Mathews County before they had an acrimonious dispute over the use of some photos of Crabilll.  Fawley is facing 16 charges of child pornography and was at one time a romantic interest of Taylor Behl.

Taylor Behl is a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University who went missing on September 5.
