Partial List of Virginia Tech Massacre Victims

BLACKSBURG, Va. — Some of the names of the victims from yesterday's shooting have been released to the public.  Details are sketchy, however Crime Library has been able to piece together the following information on each victim.

Ross Abdallah Alameddine:  According to his MySpace page, Ross, age 20, was from Saugus, Mass.  His profile contains very little information, but his friends have already begun using it as a place to post their farewell messages.  Earlier today a user with the screen name Bottle Rockets had this to say:

"If only you were here to read this Ross. You'd know what an imaginitive [sic], intelligent, compassionate and most of all hysterically funny human being you were, and how appreciative I am to have spent last summer working with such a great kid."

Christopher James Bishop: An employee profile on Virginia Tech's website lists James, age 35, as a foreign languages instructor.  Bishop's wife, Stephanie Hofer, is also a teacher at Virginia Tech.

Brian Bluhm: A Civil Engineering student, this 25-year-old was working to earn a masters degree in Water Resources.  His profile on MySpace.com is set to private.

Ryan Clark: Ryan, age 22, was from Blacksburg, Virginia.  On his MySpace profile he wrote that he was a student of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and that he was majoring in psychology, biology and English.

Daniel Perez Cueva: The 21-year-old native of Peru was killed in his French class.

Kevin P. Granata: According to the Virginia Tech website, Kevin was a 45-year-old engineering science and mechanics professor.  On his employee profile he listed his interests as Dynamics, Neuromuscular Control, Biomechanical Stability, Systems Identification and Biomimetric robotics.

Caitlin Hammaren: A 19-year-old student from Westtown, N.Y., Caitlin was a sophomore majoring in international studies.

Jeremy Herbstritt: A native of Bellefonte, Pa., the 27-year-old was a former student of Penn State University.

Rachel Elizabeth Hill: Rachel was an 18-year-old freshman from Richmond, Va.

Emily Jane Hilscher:  Emily was an 18-year-old freshman from Woodville.  "I am the pixie," she wrote on her MySpace profile.  "My friends are what keep me smiling.  I live in bumf—k [sic], but I make the best of it.  I unfortunately am alone... all alone.. I live love and get booted but eventually that will change.  Have a wonderful guy who is hopefully going to change all of that... but don't know what is going to happen."
