School Massacres, Part 2

The Texas Tower Sniper
Ex-Marine Charles Joseph Whitman, a student at the University of Texas, went on a shooting spree in 1966 dispensing death to 16 residents of Austin, leaving 31 others wounded. As a warm-up, Whitman had killed his wife and mother the night before.

The Death Knight Kimveer Gil
A gunman dressed in a black trenchcoat opened fire in a Montreal college killing an 18 -year-old woman and injuring 19 others, before turning the gun on himself.

"The Death Knight gazes at the humans with an empty stare, as they knock each other down in a mad dash to safety. He wishes to slaughter them as they flee...," he wrote in his online journal.

Gendercide in Montreal Marc Lepine
A thin, young man with a shaved head and a white baseball cap had been sitting for a while on a bench in the hall outside the University of Montreals registrar's office. He looked agitated, as if he were waiting for someone who had failed to arrive. He made eye contact with no one, but his attitude was clear in his stiff posture and grim expression.

As he entered one of the classrooms, a few people looked over at him and he offered a slight smile, as if to apologize for the interruption. He looked at the women, as if to make certain of where they sat. Used to students arriving late, Professors Yvan Bouchard and Adrien Cernea both ignored him.

But then the grinning man in the baseball cap ordered 10 female students to get up and move across the room. "I'm fighting feminism," he told them. "Women had been taking employment and opportunities away from men, he said, and feminists needed to be taught their place."

He lifted the rifle again and, as they screamed for mercy or tried to leap out of range, he methodically shot them from left to right. All were hit

Amish Schoolgirls Execution
Carl Roberts IV had no intention of coming out alive. Like many self-haters, he wanted his life to end. But like many self-haters who twist their anger toward others, he targeted people who had nothing to do with his pain in his case, ten little girls. Apparently he claimed that he molested two girls twenty years ago, although the girls who are now adults dispute it, and all of that guilt was coming to a head. Or so he wanted people to believe. But why not then just kill himself?

Because there's more at stake than guilt.

Hell Comes to Bath
Insane anger spurred Andrew Kehoe to secretly wire the Bath, Michigan school with over a 1,000 pounds of explosives which he detonated May 18, 1927. Forty-two people, mostly children, were killed and 61 injured, creating the worst school massacre in the history of the U.S.
