Nate Hendricksons Web Page Gives Personal Insight

By Steve Huff

HOUSTON (Crime Library) CONTINUED

One thing becomes clear after a while Nate Hendrickson had only recently joined myspace.com, and it appears he did it in an effort to re-connect with old friends, at least in part. A number of comments he left were made toward the end of November, and on the profiles of people he appeared to have lost touch with, at least for a time perhaps while he was attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX between 2001 and 2004.

A pair of brothers who now live in Nashville, TN and have myspace profiles appeared from comments to have been old friends of Nate's. On November 15, Hendrickson left a comment for the younger brother, saying, "hit me up sometime, man."

His old friend, now attending Vanderbilt in Nashville, did just that. On December 2, 2005, he left the following message on Nate Hendrickson's myspace profile:

"Hey whats up bud??? Sorry about how long its taken me to get back to you, but its been crazy here in Nashville. Just seems like I'm busy all of the time. Anyway let me know how things are going for you, hopefully all is well."

As far as anyone knows, Nate Hendrickson has yet to read his old buddy's response.

So did a young man, maybe stressed from school or work, feeling the holidays approach, impulsively take off for a roadtrip to who knows where? Maybe even to Nashville to hook up with old buddies who make it clear on their webpages that they are having a great time there? Was Nate Hendrickson perhaps depressed in a way that he couldn't let himself reveal, and it was shown through his peppering his friends' profiles with random comments? No one, least of all the Hendrickson family, seems to know.

If you have information pertaining to the disappearance of Nathanael Philip Hendrickson from his home in the Houston area on November 30, 2005, you can call the Spring Valley Police Department at 1-713-8323. Hendrickson is 6'2", 180 lbs. and supposedly driving a 2000 Nissan Sentra, Texas License Plate L76DKL.
