When questioned about the incident by lcni4.com, Rev. Bill Hammer, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Bardstown, had this to say:

"We just have to wait and let this take its legal course... It will be resolved, one way or another," Hammer said

Schum is scheduled to appear in court on November 27. Bethlehem's assistant principal, Chris Walsh, has taken over his duties while Schum is on leave.
