"I've heard that she was alive between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., when he beat her, all the way to 4 or 5 in the morning," Spencer said. "Now new evidence is coming out that she may have been alive till 7 a.m. That's why I wish the D.A., or I wish whoever is responsible for getting information to the family, would contact us."
Peterson could not be reached for comment yesterday, and a spokesperson for the Jackson Police Department said he could not discuss the investigation, other than to say it is not uncommon for an indictment to be served several weeks after the grand jury has made its ruling.

George Bell III and Heather Spencer |
Heather had been dating Bell for a year and a half prior to her death. Heather was swept off her feet by Bell. He showered her with expensive gifts and made her feel like a queen. In addition, her new beau seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, considering he was co-owner of a used car lot in Jackson, and his family was well-to-do.
However, not long into the relationship, Bell allegedly began to use drugs, something friends say he had problems with in the past. His business partner and friend of 20 years, Andy Fancher, dissolved their relationship, and things continued to spiral downward until July, when Bell went into a crazed frenzy and attacked Heather in her sleep with a hammer. As a result, Heather was taken to the hospital, where she received 57 staples in the back of her head. Unfortunately, Heather never followed through on assault charges, and no further action was taken against Bell.
