SAN PEDRO, Calif. — An 80-year-old suspected serial killer is currently on trial for the strangulation murder of a woman back in 1972. The Daily Breeze reports there is allegedly additional evidence, which links Adolph Laudenberg to at least three other murders from the 1970s. Those cases were brought to light when Laudenberg's daughter-in-law told authorities he had confessed the murders. The prosecution and defense are currently arguing over whether or not DNA from the crimes, which are now over thirty years old, can be used in the court cases.
LOS ANGELES, CA. — Last week we told you about Ivan Hill, 45, who was on trial for the murders of at least six women during a three-month span in 1993 and 1994. That hearing ended three days ago and the jury was in deliberations until today, when they found Hill guilty of six counts of first-degree murder. The second phase of the trial is scheduled to begin November 29th. If convicted, Hill could face the death penalty.

| Charles Manson |
| LEBANON, Pa. — Charles Manson is not a serial killer by definition, but his name is often associated with the term and the following tidbit is worth mention. Citizens in Lebanon are angry with the Lebanon Daily News, which decided to list Manson's birthday in their paper along with other "celebrity birthdays." One angry reader made her disgust quite evident in a letter she sent to the editor. "I really have no need to know that Charles Manson is celebrating his birthday," she said. "I do not plan on sending him a birthday card, and I'm sure (other) people will agree." |
