As I looked around the pit, I also noticed dozens of old toys strewn about the outside of it.  These have belonged to the murdered children? It was quite obvious no one had done anything with the barn space since the killings.  It made for a very disturbing scene; one that gives me chills to this day.  As I stood there in a bit of a daze—freezing cold, yet unable to look away—I felt a hand touch my shoulder.  I swear my heart skipped ten beats as I spun around.  No, it was not a ghost from the past, but my good friend Donnie begging me to leave.  Apparently they had enough excitement for one day.  Who could blame them...so had I.

Jeffrey Don Lungren, ex-Mormon pastor, cult leader and self-professed prophet, was put to death by lethal injection yesterday at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.  Prior to administering his lethal cocktail, prison authorities asked Lundgren if he had any last words.  "I profess my love for God, my family, for my children, for Kathy (his wife).  I am because you are," Lundgren said.  Prison officials pronounced him dead at 10:26 a.m.
