LOS ANGELES, CA. (Crime Library) Jack McClellan is a man without a state.
The admitted pedophile says he's being forced out of California by a permanent restraining order that prohibits him from going within 10 yards of any minor, making it impossible to do such ordinary things as enter a fast food restaurant.

"I can't go into a Carl's Jr. because I'm afraid there might be kids in there," he told Crime Library. "I stay away from Burger King and McDonald's because they have the kiddie area. There's nothing more I can do now, I have this Orwellian order like I'm a hardcore sex offender."
McClellan, who has never been arrested of any sex crime but has been convicted in court of public opinion, says he has nowhere to go. Living out of his car, he draws $950 a month in Social Security benefits due to depression and anxiety - hardly enough to make a go of it in high-priced California. Yet he said he was planning on "blending in" to Los Angeles' Koreatown before he became a household name.
A media firestorm greeted McClellan after he arrived in California May 24 and briefly resurrected his infamous "Seattle-Tacoma-Everett Girl Love" web site that is a primer for pedophiles. It gave tips on how to avoid getting arrested, McClellan's philosophy on "girl love" and photographs of young children in public events. His mistake was including the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita in his ramblings, which attracted the ire of local attorney and father Anthony Zinnanti.

Zinnanti went to court and obtained a restraining order Aug. 3 that became permanent on Aug. 24. During that time period, McClellan was arrested for sitting outside a UCLA day care center that catered to children less than 3 years of age. He was holding a camera. The ensuing furor over that incident plastered his image on every television news station and McClellan became fearful that he'd be recognized everywhere he went.
