When Jaclyn didn't show up at work or home that day, her friends and family are concerned that Salvator may have been in some way responsible for her disappearance. Police arrested him for the assault on Jaclyn in May, perhaps hoping to hold him until they determine if he is linked to her disappearance. Since Friday, July 13th, Salvator, an illegal immigrant, has remained in police custody on $10,000 bond pending the charges against him. On July 16, 2007, Salvator was officially named a "person of interest" in relation to her disappearance.
