Molly and Alex Midyette have not spoken to the press, and apparently not to the Louisville, CO police, the department spearheading the investigation into their son's death. Perhaps their response to the crisis from the very beginning prompted closer police attention.
When the Midyettes brought their baby to the hospital in February, they were accompanied by a large group of people described as family members. When officers tried to talk to Alex and Molly, someone told them that they would not speak with them, and a 'lawyer was on his way.'
According to local news sources, attorney Paul McCormick initially represented both Alex Midyette and his wife, but by the middle of March, Molly Midyette was represented by Craig Truman.
Even with the declaration of homicide, police in Louisville were not naming any suspects, and their investigation is continuing.
