"She loves her name," said Jeannie Hill, a close family friend Destiny refers to as "auntie." "If you asked her what her name is, she would say, 'My name is D-E-S-T-I-N-Y A-N-N."

She is a girl who loves the colors pink and purple, is good at climbing trees and dreams of being a veterinarian. The family has a dog and cat that Destiny loves to sleep with. Her adoration toward the pets made Destiny decide that she would be a veterinarian and make enough money to buy her mother a house and her father a motorcycle.

While she loves both her parents, she is very much a daddy's girl — glued to his side whenever possible. The pair often played the Pokemon video game on television. She also likes to play tag outside with other children and is easily the most athletic of the bunch. Although she could out-run or out-climb her friends, Destiny was still very much the little princess. She loves wearing dresses and even tried to dye her hair.

Recently she took a purple and green felt marker and drew streaks. The purple washed out, but the green remained — making it a distinctive feature for searchers and police in describing the little girl.

The family is praying that Destiny makes it home before her mother gives birth. Rachael Norton is 8-1/2 months pregnant with a girl that was named by Destiny.

"They were talking about the baby and talking about names and Destiny said, 'I want to name her Fate Leean,'" Hill said. "So that's the baby's name.  Destiny was so excited about the baby."
