Authorities said at a press conference given jointly by Fort Bend investigators and Sugar Land police that removing Glover's body from her makeshift grave would be completed sometime Monday evening.
Sheriff Milton Wright also said at the press conference that had it not rained heavily over the weekend, the ground under a piece of construction equipment might not have softened enough to sink and reveal a portion of Glover's buried remains.
Speaking to staffers from Houston-area TV station KHOU, Glover's dad, Terry Glover, said, "I lost an angel . . . I don't know how I'm gonna make it without her."
The FortBendNow.com web article reported more emotion at the site where the girl was found. Glover's stepfather, Mark Stokes, was stopped from entering the construction area-turned-crime scene. He said, after being turned away, "I just need to know if it's her or not . . . and if we should call off the search . . ."
