CHULUOTA, Fla. (Crime Library) — Police in Seminole County, Florida (Fl) believe that on the night of June 24, 2006, 34-year-old Darren Bridgeman lurked for hours in the woods near the Willingham Road home of his ex-girlfriend, Tracy Bennawit.
Bennawit, 33, arrived at her Chuluota home around 1:30 a.m. According to one source, Tracy, her son Caelin, and her new boyfriend, Adam Strickland, age 26, had been at Kinetix Gaming, Bennawit's business, for a charity event.
Authorities say that was when Darren Bridgeman pounced.

Seminole County investigators allege that Bridgeman shot Tracy Bennawit six times. Adam Strickland was shot once in the chest and was expected to recover. Bennawit's son Caelin was uninjured, and had the presence of mind to call 911.
After the ambush, Bridgeman, a native Briton, traveled north to Atlanta, Georgia, where he boarded a flight to London. Darren Bridgeman may have purchased his trans-Atlantic flight on June 23rd, the day before the attack in Chuluota, Fl.
Cops in Florida and at Scotland Yard in the United Kingdom are now seeking Darren Bridgeman for the murder of Tracy M. Bennawit.
