VADODARA, India — Police investigating the murders of two retired defense personnel are trying to determine if a serial killer could be responsible. On February 28 retired IAF personnel Deepcharan Kotnala, 62, was strangled inside his home. On June 11 retired Army Major Omkar Gurum, 58, was found bludgeoned to death inside his home. "We are looking for some sort of connection as both men came from a military background, are around the same age and worked for private security firms after retirement," a police spokesperson said in an interview with ExpressIndia.com, adding "we have not found a motive in either case." The investigation is ongoing.
