On Friday Strandberg told KXMBTV Bismarck that there were no new developments in the case and that his department was still awaiting the autopsy results from the state medical examiner. In the meantime, Strandberg said his department was keeping busy interviewing and reinterviewing persons of interest; however, he admitted they still have no suspect in the case.
"We continue to track down friends of the victim and associates of the victim, co-workers of the victim, interview all those people," Strandberg said. "As you can imagine that takes quite a bit of time. This girl was very popular, and between MySpace pages and cell phone calls and text message calls, there's a lot of people to talk to and we're still in the process of doing a lot of that."

Anita's MySpace.com profile is set to private. The only thing visible is her photo and her introduction text, which reads "EASY ON THE [.EYES.] HARD ON THE [.HEART.]." Her last login date was May 18, 2007. Anita also has a profile on Facebook.com, however other than a photograph it contains little information. Following her murder, one of her friends created a memorial page for her at Facebook. Since its incarnation both friends and family members have been using it as a place to post their thoughts and final farewells.
