Not long after the arrests, Bloomfield Police Capt. Jeffrey Blatter and West Hartford Police Capt. Lori Coppinger held a press conference to discuss the case.
"Unfortunately this juvenile was in a lifestyle that was not the greatest," Capt. Blatter said. "She is a child from troubled circumstances and found what she believed to be a friend this poor child has been through a lot."
When asked by reporters if Danielle had been harmed, Blatter replied, "We can all assume that a 14-year-old under the influence of a 40-year-old has been harmed in some way."

On a more positive note, Blatter stated that finding Danielle was "of great relief to investigators, who feared the worst based on the evidence compiled to date."
Danielle is currently in protective custody. Yesterday, she was physically examined at a local hospital. What, if anything, was discovered is not yet known. The Connecticut Department of Children and Families is expected to decide if Danielle should be released to her parents.
All three suspects are currently being held in the county lockup on $1 million bond. They will be arraigned in Hartford Superior Court today.
