Jamie's page could be found at www.myspace.com/jamielynn112. She wrote in the "About Me" section:
". . . I am 19 years old and I will be graduating from Mead High School this June. I love to sing but I'm not sure if I really even have a good [voice] but I still try. . . I'm not really looking for anything at the moment. I'm just trying to have a good time right now and figure out who I am. . ."

Kevin Newland also had a MySpace.com account. His page was unremarkable save for the background image he chose to dominate the page, a photograph of a massive lightning strike over a body of water. The main thing a reader might have gleaned from Kevin's page was that he was an active young man, into 'extreme sports' like street racing and snowboarding.
Jamie Lynn Drake's page already had a comment from a friend on June 28, 2006, pleading with her to "come back." Kevin Newland's MySpace profile had two comments from one female friend named Darien, and the first one from her, left on June 14, 2006, read:
"Why do you keep deleting all of your comments??
Don't you want people to know that you're liked at all(?)
I'm just kidding . . ."
If Kevin ever responded as to why he was 'deleting' comments from his page, his response was private, as no messages from him could be found on the page of the person who left that message.
