Nick was in Ocean City celebrating his graduation from high school with a group of his friends. The beach front resort is a popular place for area students to gather after graduation. He was staying at the Quality Inn on 16th Street. Investigators say that he left his belongings in his hotel room, including his cell phone charger. According to police, Nick last used his cell phone just before seven o'clock the night he disappeared.
Ocean City Police Chief Bernadette DiPino says that her investigators have spoken at length to Gochnour's family and friends who have provided the department with a number of valuable leads and some important background information about Nick. While DiPino would not elaborate about the nature of the leads or the nature of the information provided, she said that they were investigating each lead.
