WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wisc. (Crime Library) — Deidre Harm, 21, and her friend Gabe Deranick headed out for a night of fun on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Deidre dropped her infant daughter off with a babysitter and she and Deranick headed to the Finish Line Bar, located in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin (WI). At some point that evening, Deidre told Gabe she'd return momentarily. Deidre was allegedly seen later that night at a different bar with a male no one recognized.
As of Thursday, June 15, 2006, Deidre Harm has been missing for 5 days.
In an e-mail to the Crime Library, Deidre's friend Heather Banta wrote the following:
"Deidre would never leave like this, she loves her daughter. She just got her own apartment the day that she disappeared. . . [Deidre] loves her family and I know how close she is to her father and her grandmother . . . she would NEVER leave without telling someone where she was and without taking her daughter with her! We just don't know what to do anymore. . ."
Banta went on to state that she and her sister Samantha, along with Deidre Harm's family, had been trying in part through the personal networking site, MySpace.com, to get word out about Deidre's disappearance.
To that end, they began using Deidre Harm's MySpace as an online headquarters for the search.
