On May 4, Lisa's cousin, Mark Greenberg, and his wife, Melanie, held a press conference on behalf of Lisa's parents, who were reported to be too distraught to speak with the media.
"The family is in anguish," Mark said. "We're very concerned. This isn't like Lisa. She would never leave her children."
Mark also announced that the family had started a Web site, www.findlisastebic.com to aid in the search for Lisa. When asked why Craig was not at the conference, Mark's wife, Melanie, had this to say:

"He said he wouldn't be able to be here. He's supportive of the Web site and very concerned about what happened," she said. In regard to the impending divorce, Mark said, "We don't want to speculate. Our principal goal is to find out what happened to Lisa."
Police have not named Craig as a suspect in his wife's disappearance. They initially described him as cooperative, but, during this past week, he raised eyebrows with some of Lisa's family members when he refused to take a polygraph, purportedly on the advice of his attorney.
