NEWS ALERT: Video, Photographs, Writings From Gunman Arrive In New York
BLACKSBURG, Va. (Crime Library) — Virginia State Police Superintendent Steven Flaherty announced late Wednesday afternoon that the crazed Virginia Tech gunman, Cho Seung-Hui, sent a package of material to NBC headquarters in New York.
Flaherty described the material as multiple photographs, video, and writings. He said it arrived in New York Wednesday.

Although the superintendent would not say how Cho sent the material to the television network, he said the "originals" have been turned over to the FBI.
"This may be a new, very critical part of this investigation," Flaherty said.
The State Police commander left the briefing room immediately after his announcement and refused to answer any of the questions fired at him by the hundreds of reporters present.
Other university officials claimed not to know whether the photographs and video were of any of the victims, although one senior school official described the development as "very troubling news."

One of the most burning questions that has hung over the massacre since Monday has been what Cho did during the more than two hours between the murders at West Ambler Johnston dormitory and those at Norris Hall.
Immediately following the superintendent's bombshell announcement, reporters began speculating that Cho may have taken the images during or immediately after the first killings.
