"All of those signs, and I've been in teaching a long time, signified to me that this was a student who was very troubled," Roy told the Times.
When police found Cho's body Monday morning lying in a classroom in Norris Hall next to those of several of his victims, he had a note containing a bomb threat in his backpack.

Police believe Cho is likely responsible for two other bomb threats at Virginia Tech within the last few weeks. Investigators have speculated that Cho may have made the threats to test the university's response to on-campus emergencies.
In Cho's dorm room in Harper Hall, police found a typed eight-page letter that railed against rich kids, women, religion, and what Cho described as "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus.

According to The Associated Press, one line in the note read, "You caused me to do this."
In the letter, Cho said the end was near. He also indicated he had some important task to perform.

The AP also reported that Virginia Tech officials said Cho used an online school forum to warn about what he planned to do.
In a poorly spelled and punctuated message, Cho reportedly wrote, "im going to kill people at vtech today."
