Reports are also surfacing about Cho setting fires in campus buildings and stalking women. It is possible that the woman murdered in the early morning dormitory shooting may have been the target of his advances.
Authorities will be undertaking a psychological autopsy to get a better understanding of Cho's state of mind and motivations.
Cho's creative writing was so bizarre and violent that a one-act play that he submitted was cause for Cho being referred to counseling. According to our sister site, thesmokinggun.com, the play by Cho Seung-Hui was submitted last year as part of a short story writing class. Entitled "Richard McBeef," Cho's bizarre play features a 13-year-old boy who accuses his stepfather of pedophilia and murdering his father. A copy of the killer's play can be found below. The teenager talks of killing the older man and, at one point, the child's mother brandishes a chain saw at the stepfather. The play ends with the man striking the child with "a deadly blow." Ballistics indicated that one weapon was used in both shooting attacks. There is no evidence at the time that Cho had an accomplice.

A receipt for one firearm indicates that he purchased it in March. The 9mm gun was legally purchased from Roanoke Fire Arms five weeks ago for $571. Reportedly, serial numbers were filed off the firearms used in the massacre. In his backpack, Cho had chains that he used to secure the doors of the classrooms so that his victims could not escape.
Cho entered the United States from South Korea with his parents when he was a boy, eventually settling in the suburban community of Centreville. The only record of any legal infractions before yesterday was a speeding ticket in Montgomery County, VA. in March of 2007. He had a green card and was a permanent resident alien.

Cho graduated from Westfield High Scool in Chantilly, VA and was a member of the Science Club.
Cho had a sister who reportedly graduated from Princeton University. Cho's parents run a dry cleaning business in Northern Virginia.
