Several hours later, a roommate found David lying on the kitchen floor. The college senior had succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting. When investigators interviewed David's father, Richard Boss, he told police that Delling, a former classmate of his son's, might have been responsible for the shooting. He said Delling had acted delusional during a recent visit to the Boss family's home.
"He said Delling and his son grew up together in Boise, ID and had limited contact with each other while they both attended the University of Idaho," Moscow police Officer Tyson Berrett wrote in a sworn statement. "Richard described Delling as having a violent disposition."
Two days later, police say Delling shot and killed Brad Morse, 25, a Boise State University student and janitor at the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. Brad's body was not found until the following day.

"We had a worker this morning at about 9:53 a.m. that came to do, I believe, some lawn maintenance, opened one of the out buildings and noticed some blood on the sidewalk," Lt. Scott Johnson with the Ada County Sheriff's Office told KTRV last Tuesday.
The employee followed the blood trail to a drainage pond where he discovered Brad's body submerged in the water. Police say Brad died from multiple gunshots to the head. His car was also missing from the scene. Brad's relationship to Delling is not yet known.
