Purcell, OK (Crime Library) — He struck her with a wooden cutting board. Then he "placed his hand and a piece of duct tape over her mouth and nose." Court papers filed by District Attorney Tim Kuykendall in McClain County, Oklahoma (OK) on April 17, 2006, say that this caused the little girl to then "languish and die."

Kevin Underwood |
Kevin Ray Underwood, who sometimes called himself "Subspecies23" and "psycomind" on the internet, stands accused at age 26 of the murder of 10-year-old Jamie Rose Bolin. The affidavit filed by D.A. Kuykendall on the 17th related in detached language how agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) discovered the little girl's body in Underwood's apartment on North 8th Street in Purcell:
"[FBI Agent Craig Overby] stated he asked Mr. Underwood if they could look in his apartment to insure Ms. Bolin was not in the apartment. Agent Overby stated that Mr. underwood gave consent to search the apartment. Agent Overby stated that he asked if he could look in the bedroom closet and Mr. Underwood consented .... Agent Overby stated he opened the container [in Underwood's closet] and observed what he believed to be the shirt that Mr. Underwood stated that [Jamie Rose Bolin] was wearing ....At that time, Mr. Underwood stated, "Go ahead and arrest me." Agent Overby asked, where is she? Mr. Underwood replied, "she is in there, I chopped her up." Agent Overby then closed the container and took custody of Mr. Underwood...."
It was beyond shocking, the crime allegedly committed by Kevin Underwood. Worse yet, Tim Kuykendall announced in one of the first press conferences given on April 15th about the arrest of Underwood that authorities believed that Kevin Underwood had been planning his acts for quite some time. Underwood wanted to torture, rape, murder, and finally, eat his victims, whoever they were. He had more than one target in mind, but the person who finally ended up trapped in his web was the red-headed little girl who lived just 10 feet away, in a neighboring apartment, with her father.
Underwood was said in the affidavit to have committed the murder the day Jamie Bolin disappeared, April 12, 2006. As if to underscore the cruel nature of the crime as proposed later by D.A. Kuykendall, Underwood's final blog entry in his main weblog, futureworldruler.blogspot.com, was made on April 13, 2006. Anyone who looked at Underwood's weblog, knowing the date Jamie disappeared, could conclude that he must have been making a blog entry while the violated remains of the innocent little girl sat in his closet.
Though Underwood claimed to suffer from social phobia, and blogged quite a bit about his depression and loneliness, he was not without friends.
