Further, Amber made it difficult for Hill to see his son and could not be located for weeks at a time, forcing Hill to file a child abduction police report. One time she even disconnected her phone and moved out of her home. When he did locate them and tried telephoning Dylan, "she refuses to let me talk to him and tells me the only time I need to speak to Dylan is when he is in my custody," Hill wrote.
Amber also filed a temporary restraining order against Hill and his girlfriend, asking that they stay away from her car. This is because Hill "showed up at my place of work with his girlfriend harassing me. Threatened to take my son and not return him," Amber wrote.

Lt. Ketelsleger said detectives have talked to Hill, but at this point don't even consider him "a person of interest."
The phone-in tips have dried up and the clues are sparse, he says.
"We don't have anything right now," he added. It's also difficult to tell whether the murder was committed by someone Amber knew or a total stranger.
"Right now we don't have a feeling one way or the other," Ketelsleger said. "We're not ruling anything out."
