After listening to arguments by both sides, Bellis increased Hsu's bond to $1 million and ordered he be kept under suicide watch. If he manages to make bond, Bellis ordered that Hsu undergo a psychiatric evaluation. She also said that he was not allowed to access the Internet unless it was work related, could not contact the victim or get within 100 yards of her and that he was not allowed to have contact with his immediate family. Following the hearing, Hsu was escorted back to his jail cell.
According to his professional business profile on Zoominfo.com, Hsu is married, has two teen-age children and is Co-Founder, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Anchor Point Capital, LLC. The profile says he graduated from Bronx High School of Science in New York City and received a Bachelors of Science degree in economics with minors in computer science and classical archaeology from the University at Albany in 1984.

Hsu has multiple profiles on the social networking Web site MySpace.com; however, most are blank. On one, he has a photo, some school alma maters listed, and his income posted as "$250,000 and higher." Two people are on his MySpace friends list, and his last login date is listed as Feb. 22.
