Authorities also looked at Diehl-Armstrong's former fiance, William Rothstein, who died of cancer in July 2004.  According to published reports, Rothstein fit the profile of the bomb maker due to the fact that he liked to work on electronic devices and was a member of a local robot club.  Rothstein, who admitted to police that he helped Diehl-Armstrong hide Roden's dead body, took any knowledge that he might have had of the crime to the grave.

Robert Pinetti, 43, a coworker of Wells at Mama Mia's Pizza-Ria in Millcreek Township, has also been mentioned as a person of interest; however, Pinetti was found dead in his home three days after the bank robbery.  According to official reports, he died of a drug overdose.  Several other people have also been questioned, but authorities have not yet commented on their possible involvement in the case.

On Friday, the Associated Press published an article that claimed that an unnamed law enforcement official had told them that indictments would be announced next month.  The report also said that U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan would be holding a press conference, but that she would not give specific details on the indictments.

"The law enforcement official told the AP that Buchanan would not disclose what the investigators concluded, but would say that the government is confident they know how and why Wells died," a reporter for the Associated Press wrote in a two page article published last Friday.
