While the history of crime is dotted with women who kill, serial killer moms and wives are always in a special category of their own: Nannie Doss, the Lonely Hearts killer who just loved her husbands to death; Velma Barfield, the adoring mother and pious Christian grandmother had a secret habit — she poisoned her husbands, boyfriends, elderly people in her care and even her mother, and history's Mary Ann Cotton, who murdered between 15-21 of her relatives with arsenic either for money, personal dislike or the fact that they got in the way of something she wanted.

One can only hope the best for Karla, her future husband and the child they brought into the world. I'm sure that there are exceptions to the bloody history of these killer women listed above and perhaps Karla is one of them.
