Deidre's friends have had a difficult time dealing with her death. A remembrance ceremony was held last month to honor her memory, and a few of her close friends maintain a MySpace web page, which was created in her memory. Prior to her disappearance, Deidre had her own MySpace page and she often used its blog section to express herself. Friends now use that page as a memorial, where they can leave their thoughts and comments.

"I miss you, girl... The saying is true, though; you never know what you have until it's gone. And then it's too late. My life is never going to be the same." ~Sammy

"I had a dream about you yesterday; we were talking and then you laughed. Oh, how I miss your laugh. I went out 'to have a good time' for the first time since June. I knew that's what you would have wanted. I did pretty well, toasted you with your favorite drink right at midnight; that happened by chance. It was so perfect until the end; I looked over and I imagined you walking up to me, laughing as if you were there. It's almost like I saw you, but I know that can't be. Then I missed you so much I couldn't hold it in. Maybe you were there. Maybe you saw. I just want you to know that I tried, I really did, but it will never be quite the same without you, girl. We all miss you and love you so much. You will never be forgotten." ~Heather
