Following his arrest, Robb appeared in court and was ordered held without bond in the Montgomery County prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
At a press conference Monday afternoon, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor said he believed the murder was financially motivated. Robb knew his wife was about to leave him and that the divorce was likely to cost him a lot of money.
Castor speculated that Robb had called the 10-digit non-emergency police number because he thought that line wasn't recorded. "It's very unusual the way that call came into the police," he said.

The district attorney also said he was shocked at the violence of the crime. "This may be the most brutal physical attack I've ever seen."
Police are still looking for the murder weapon, which they believe was a narrow piece of metal similar to a tire tool.
