By comparing the index cards to David's medical records, authorities were able to determine that all the records were accounted for. David's son also said that he is not aware of any items missing from the office. None of his father's valuables had been taken and all of the medical drugs were accounted for.
Dr. David Cornbleet's murder remains unsolved. Police say they believe David knew his killer. They also say the suspect left "substantial" forensic evidence behind. While they refuse to comment on any specific information, sources close to the investigation tell me they have "several persons of interest."

David and Jonathan Cornbleet |
It seems obvious that police are focusing on one of David's patients. According to Jonathan, there are no pending lawsuits, however he did say there was the occasional problem. "You always get people here or there who are not entirely satisfied. Those who wanted more than what you were capable of giving them."
Jonathan also as his own theories on the killer:
"He was sophisticated enough to know what he was doing. I have been in that building over a thousand times, and I didn't even know where the cameras were. He (the killer) definitely did his homework. He knew when the other offices would be empty. He went there with the intention of killing my father."

When you talk to Jonathan, the heartache in his voice is apparent. The emotional strain has obviously been great. During our conversation, he often referred to his dad as his "best friend."
